We all know the importance of saving water. But to some people, they think water is the most abundant natural resources that they could just take for granted. Unfortunately, most of the water on this earth is not directly in potable form. Saving water means saving the energy required to filter and purity water. “Poor Little Fish” basin design tries to persuade consumers to reduce the waste of water in an emotional way. Instead of forcing people to consume less which usually lead to uncomfortable experience, this basin will make people think differently about saving water by making consumption tangible.
Poor Little Fish Basin consists of traditional shaped fish bowl and a basin. While using the water, you will notice the water level in the bowl gradually falls, it will go back to the same level once the water stops. There are separated pipelines so the water that comes from the tap is pure and clean while the one in the bowl is not really changing.

Improving on gadgets is one thing, but there’s a fine line between improvement and over-the-top futurism. This Japanese vending machine is firmly over that line with its insane 47-inch touch screen, cameras and built-in stereotyping.

When a potential customer approaches the machine, the cameras identify the person’s gender and age, then the super stereotyping software displays recommendations for drinks based on what it thinks people like you enjoy. The next time you approach one of the machines, it will remember your purchase history and make appropriate suggestions.
The first of these crazy machines was unveiled in Tokyo’s Shinagawa Station; it’s just the beginning of a 500-strong planned team of wildly unnecessary drink vending machines to be installed in and around Tokyo in the next two years.
While they may not be entirely practical, these machines are all kinds of pretty. They look more like huge TVs than vending machines, and we have to admit that choosing a beverage from a gigantic, crystal-clear screen is much more inviting than the traditional method. Hopefully they attract the 30 percent in additional revenue that they’re expected to and gain enough popularity to spread to the rest of the world.

No, says a survey done on average Britons. According to the survey conducted on behalf of Sky HD, the average Briton only uses half of the functions available on their gadgets. Almost half of the 3,000 people questioned by One Poll did not know that their HD-ready television needed to be connected to a high-definition device, such as a Blu-ray DVD player or HD service, in order to enjoy high-definition pictures.
Only a quarter of men will ask for help with their gadgets, compared to 47 per cent of women. Almost two thirds of women will read the product manual when problems occur, compared to 54 per cent of men. Ten per cent of IT experts admitted to hitting a gadget in order to try and make it work properly.
Well, we Indians, not known for our technology sense too, should be glad we need not go through a survey like this.

The 39 year-old designer has covered a range of gadgets such as phones and TVs, as well as his “masterpiece” iPad covered in 22 carrat gold and 53 individual diamonds.
The luxury 2.1kg iPad, which has sparkling gems set into its Apple logo, as well as a solid gold rear and screen surround, well set its new owner back about £130,000 – substanitally more expensive than the regular £600 model.
Mr Hughes, from Liverpool, also also offers a buget, gold-plated iPad for a more cost-friendly £2,000.
He has also designed luxury customised phones like diamond-encrusted Blackberrys, as well as the ultimate games console – a gold-plated Nintendo Wii “Supreme” costing £300,000.
His website describes the iPad as “outstanding even down to the precise polishing to reveal its most beautiful harmonious appearance”.
The description adds: “A magnificent combination of top of the industry technology and unrivalled craftsmanship was invloved in creating this masterpiece.”
He started creating the gadgets with Katherine, his wife, almost a decade ago and makes the luxurious gizmos by casting moulds in the shapes of the gadgets, before pouring in gold to complete the process.
The process can sometimes take up to six weeks.
“The process works for objects and gadgets people can relate to, and when we’re finished with the products they can often look bizarre and outrageous,” he said.
“We have gone for the higher end of the gadget end market.
“When someone spends £80,000 on an expensive car, they don’t want to drive it home and find their next door neighbour has got the same one.”
He added: “It’s all about having something different, and that’s what we provide.
“The golden iPad inparticular will be fantastic.
“We realise that buying an iPad or an iPhone is not cheap in the first place, and that’s why we’ll be releasing more affordable gold-plated versions of our products later on.”
